Listen to Ronald Reagan warning of socialized medicine several decades ago. The last minute should give you chills, because we are now at the moment Reagan feared--the imposition of socialism and the obliteration of the American tradition of liberty.

Reagan always gives me chills. I grew up in his hometown, and actually literally endured subzero weather for hours to see him drive through downtown on his birthday, once. But aside from that--he really did grasp something especially significant about our politics during his anti-Communist "conversion," and carried that Goldwater-with-a-smile, Buckley-from-the-boonies incisiveness and with with him everywhere from then on.
