I Miss the Gipper

Be inspired by a few minutes from a great man, Ronald Reagan.

And there is no national politician alive more antithetical to this spirit than Barack Obama.

Speaking of Reagan:

Did you see this article by Stanley Fish:
George Bush the comeback kid

This quote is particularly good, "Bill Clinton and Ronald Reagan didn’t need rehabilitation; each would have won a third term easily and still could (even though Reagan is dead)."

Thank you for sharing this. I don't remember much about Ronald Reagan, as his presidency ended while I was in my early teens. This video helped me understand why so many people looked up to him and saw him as a great president. I wish he was president again. His ideas were solid and it is obvious to me he loved his country and understood the Constitution. I'm thankful he doesn't have to see the state our country is in right now.

I was born near the end of Carter's third year in office and was only in fourth grade when George H. W. Bush was sworn in. I wish I had been old enough to appreciate Reagan while he was President. What a guy!

As for the dire warnings Reagan offered in this speach, they all seem to be warnings against something like an Obama administration. If Reagan had only lived long enough to see this day, it probably would have killed him.

Was that his farewell address? What a great American!

If only he could deliver this voting advice now. He surely is the great communicator.
