- Nothing on this blog represents the position of Denver Seminary. I am a Christian, philosopher, teacher, writer, and preacher, who is Professor of Philosophy at Denver Seminary. My most recent of my twelve books is Philosophy in Seven Sentences. My magnum opus is Christian Apologetics: A Comprehensive Case for Biblical Faith (InterVarsity Press, 2011). I live in one of the most liberal countries on earth and have been repeatedly told by my American friends that we here are socialists.
There is no doubt that large swaths of Canada are indeed socialist driven from healthcare (done right) to gay marriage (done wrong) by fiat of our Supreme Court.
Yet we remain a nation that believes for the economy to work companies have to make a profit. We believe the harder you work the more money you will have.
The shocking part of America's fall is not imposing healthcare in a for-profit system which will bankrupt the rest of your economy, it is the speed and the number who lined up to drink the Kool Aid.
Frankly I blame weak Evangelical churches who could have stood and defeated this bill and prevented Obama from taking office in the first place but whose message has become so watered down and inclusive and universal as to be useless.

Nothing in that article describes anything resembling "Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors" which is required for impeachment (Article II, Section 4 of the US Consitution). Making unpopular decisions is not an impeachable offense.
