Not in the National Interest
The injustices and inequities of nationalized health care are explained by Charles Colson. This is reform we do not need in the United States. There are far better ways.
I lived in the States from 92-97. My HMO charged me a fortune for fewer benefits than I get from the Ontario Health Insurance Plan through my tax dollars. Amazing what the buying power of 13 million insured people, combined with federal transfer payments and payroll taxes will buy.
Every modern developed nation spends less per capita on health care than the U.S., and you're losing good paying jobs to Canada because it costs so much to insure your workers.
What ways are better?
