what does that mean?
To "monitize" your blog is to turn your blog into a source of a small amount of income by allowing Google or some other group to place advertising content on the blog.
Just say no.

I know that is what it is and does, but I wonder if it wrecks the page. Probably so.
Can you just think this one through for a minute. Do you really think you would have ANY control over what advertizing would be posted for all to associate with your blog! I could give you some possible examples, but I think you get the idea.

You'll probably have to put up with ads like "10 ways to impress girls when going out".
Since you mention Obama a lot, pro-choice and pro-Obama nonsense might litter your blog. Monetizing is based on word association not thought association. The Google servers don't think they process.
You need a lot of hits to start making money.
I am convinced: I will not monetize!
