Wood, Wonder

Siren sounds
of worldly wonder.

Lash me to the masts,
Sailors.
The churning sea
Has is allure, when
Voices raise their
Fleshly plea.

It is a whipping post,
Tied to it. No escape--
yet.

Not the axis mundi,
Not the stairway to the gods,
but a pike of wood and
Wonder.

I love this, Doug.

Given the studies I've been doing the last few years on giants, this nails it to the mast. I published it on two facebook sites.
