Requiem Aeternam dona eis, Domine, et lux perpetuae luceat eis.
I suspect that most, if not all, who are jumping on a bandwagon of cruelty towards Thomas Kinkade's death do not have the necessary qualifications to know whether his art was good or bad but are simply parroting something they have read.
The art establishment seems to hate success most of all and while they might have disliked his works the fact that it hangs in 10 million homes speaks volumes.
The art establishment would counter that it speaks volumes about the great unwashed who do not know talent. I argue that it is they who are out of touch.
I liked Kinkade's paintings. I don't care a fig what the so-called experts think, or say, about his art. I like Opera music, too, but loathe the singing. I'm a cultural peasant! LOL
