Review of Christian Apologetics

Dr. Steven Cowan reviews my book, Christian Apologetics, at Credo.

"a truly masterful work"
I agree, Dr Cowan.
And, I agree with your two critiques; however minimal.

Thanks, Paul. However, Steve is wrong that I 'never' apply my criteria to worldviews. I do, but not systematically or always overtly. And, yes, I could have done more on the coherence of divine attributes; but I did address that in the chapter on the Incarnation and the one on the ontological argument, but not so much on the Trinity.

Ah...did not pay closely enough to the "never," in which case I retract my first agreement with the two critiques. Agree it was not explicit; it is apparent you did so.

And, since we're critique the critique, I would argue that a robust coherence of the divine attributes in relation to the Trinity would be to venture beyond an apologetics text and encroach upon the waters of philosophical theology. While there is apologetic value in doing so, it is does mix the disciplines a wee bit.

Just my 2 pence worth.
