Curmudgeon on the Tube?!
Does anyone out there know how to put material from a DVD on YouTube? I have a one-hour lecture of myself teaching on postmodernism (done at Colorado Christian University) that I would like to deposit there.
Handbrake should do the job for you for free. It is available at http://handbrake.fr/?article=download . You need to convert the DVD to a MP4 file and it needs to be less that 1 GB. Normally it takes a 1-8 hours depending on computer speed to convert the file because video takes a lot time to work with.
Unless you have a certain number of viewers subscribing to your YouTube channel, I believe they limit the length of videos to around 10 minutes. So you would just need to break the video up into a multi-part series.
