The world unjinxed.
Dr. Seuss would be proud.

ReplyDeleteDr. Suess was not infantile! That man could spin a rhyme and tell a story with force.
Just because he put pictures with it for the kids does not mean his stories are less forceful.
I mean, common, Green Eggs and Ham is a classic... right up there with Huck Finn in American literature.
Ok... maybe that is a stretch... but its still one of my favorites!

It's very well done. I like the rhythm. When I recite it, it reminds me of Verlaine(see:Chanson D'Automne.) The thought is slowly, beautifully unfolding. Not one word missing. Not one word too much. It's superb when we arrive at:
