iPhone, Therefore I am
Robert Velardeblogs on technological discernment and gives us a photo of a extinct computer and two quotes from a nearly extinct book, The Soul in Cyberspace.
I bought and read the book when it first came out. Since then I have misplaced it and have looked and looked for it to no avail! (May have been borrowed and never returned).
I excitedly found an autographed copy at a local Half Price Books not too long ago. Unfortunately I lent it to a friend who was taking a class on technology and never got it back...A major loss, indeed.
How exactly does one go about asking for their book back in a tactful way?
The fact that somebody sold an autographed copy is not a happy thought! I found a personally autographed copy of "Unmasking the New Age" (to Georgine Perino, not to name names--are you out there?) at a used bookstore in Portland once. Ouch.
Oh, Doug, I am mortified to the max that you found that autographed copy that I must have sold when I was totally broke and possibly drunk. I can't imagine why else I would have sold that. You are still one of my favorite authors, even more so now that I'm 8 years sober. Georgine Perino
How amazing that you found this post and read after all this time! Please email me or befriend me on Facebook. I'd like to catch up! DougGroothuis@gmail.com.
Ah, Doug. That book is not extinct. Picked it up at the University of Windsor Library here where I live not too long ago!
