This will feature Dr. David Boonin (a University of Colorado philosophy professor, author of In Defense of Abortion) and Dr. Peter Kreeft (prolific author and professor at Boston College). I hope Peter Kreeft brings much stronger arguments than the last debate I heard against Boonin. I thought Kreeft lost (mp3s are available somewhere on the internet). It troubled me so much that I spent much time thinking about Boonin's approach. There is a major flaw in his analogy of a sick man in need of someone else's body and a baby in need of a mother's body. It would not justify abortion as it is commonly held, but rather the removal of an infant (or fetus) with the necessary implications of doing whatever must be done to save the infant.

Below is the link to the previous debate with Kreeft and Boonin. Kreeft is one of the great Christian apologists of our time (God bless Peter Kreeft), but Francis Beckwith could have done an even better job refuting Boonin’s incorrect arguments. The link is from the Intercollegiate Studies Institute. Type Peter Kreeft in the search.

People should be trying to contact Peter Kreeft (perhaps by email) and trying to get Beckwith’s Defending Life A Moral and Legal Case against Abortion Choice into his hands. Although pro-lifers have the convincing arguments, pro-lifers must make systematic efforts to get the top arguments into the minds of influential people!

For example, below is a variation of what I wrote to a friend (today) who is interested in apologetics:

I want to tell you about some pro-life projects that I’m working on. Maybe you would want to try a similar approach. Maybe we could work together eventually on some of these projects. You said you were reading Beckwith’s book. Are you talking about Defending Life A Moral And Legal Case Against Abortion Choice? I have a copy of that book. We can do our own training. Here is a project I’m going to start working on: Eventually I’m going to start a training program I might call (LAP) Life Answers Program. I’m going to start the training program on You Tube. Here are some people I might link to for a start: http://www.youtube.com/user/roevswade and http://www.youtube.com/user/prolifediaries My goal is to make a question and answer type of program. It might be, for example, fifteen different videos that a person can study. If a person has studied all of the videos, he or she has completed the program. It is going to take me a lot of time to make because I want to use the best information available. That means that I’m going to have to read Defending Life A Moral And Legal Case Against Abortion Choice by Francis Beckwith and Making Abortion Unthinkable The Art Of Pro-Life Persuasion by Gregory Koukl & Scott Klusendorf and Pro-Life 101: A step-by-Step Guide to Making Your Case Persuasively by Scott Klusnendorf, etc. If you search on You Tube, you will find only one video on Francis Beckwith. If you search Scott Klusendorf on You Tube, you’ll find only one video on Klusendorf/Life Training Institute. I have another way that I/we could try to systematically educate people regarding the top pro-life information: We could find professors emails on the web (Mainly Christian professors and other influential social conservatives) and then email them and tell them about Klusendorf’s Life Training Institute and Beckwith’s Defending Life book, etc. I have found it very useful to spread this information on blogs too. This is a human rights issue that should be worked on very hard. I have read good things. When I read Klusendorf’s newest information letter, he essentially said he had to vigorously find more people to do presentations for his organization because it was very, very busy. Pro-lifers have a lot to offer!! The key is systematic and top quality education with the assistance of the Spirit. Since these projects are going to take me a lot of time, I hope that many, many other people can do similar projects before me.

1) Intentionally killing an innocent human being is a moral wrong.
2) Elective abortion is the intentional killing of an innocent human being.
3) Therefore, elective abortion is a moral wrong.

Is Hillary Clinton listening? Has she been morally velocitized?
