Truth Telling Today
George Orwell: "We have now sunk to a depth at which restatement of the obvious is the first duty of intelligent men."
But even then, as we restate the obvious... people question even these ideas.
For example if you answer the question "what is truth?" with "truth correlates directly with objective reality" you get rejected by the postmoderist who says that "everyone has their own reality".
"What's real for you isn't real for me."
Drives me crazy.
For example, the resurrection of Jesus either happened in space/time or it did not. It didn't happen just for the Christian who "likes the idea".
