They are focused on Christ ie the tabernacle/altar, not man like the pulpit focus in protestant services..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-4127334790114487902007-05-31T23:08:00.000-06:002007-05-31T23:08:00.000-06:00Tom:That is not the point. Lutheran churches, however, are not so. Their names are also dignified, such as "Crown of Life Lutheran Church" in Sun City West, AZ, where my wife and I attended while I was on sabbatical there.Douglas Groothuis, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08766692378954258034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-13280376114931598612007-05-31T19:36:00.000-06:002007-05-31T19:36:00.000-06:00Christopher has been deleted in light of the extre...Christopher has been deleted in light of the extremely rude things he posted on the Beckwith issue previously.Douglas Groothuis, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08766692378954258034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-6870904210782584282007-05-31T17:03:00.000-06:002007-05-31T17:03:00.000-06:00@MJ: I'm at a loss as to how either of those two p...@MJ: I'm at a loss as to how either of those two passages you've quoted have any relevance to the point made in Doug's post -- could you elaborate?Samhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11545870883633534790noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-20784474748510634182007-05-31T15:00:00.000-06:002007-05-31T15:00:00.000-06:00While I understand the point that was attempted to...While I understand the point that was attempted to be made, I cannot help but frown in light of 1Cor. 6:19-20 and John 2:18-22.

Nice picture, by the way, Christopher.
