America, with our vast wealth and Christian background freedoms, is lagging behind. They have much to teach us by way or prayer and dedication--even unto death.Douglas Groothuis, Ph.D.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08766692378954258034noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-64598596231162595642007-08-03T22:36:00.000-06:002007-08-03T22:36:00.000-06:00I have asked at least a dozen people in the past w...I have asked at least a dozen people in the past week if they knew about this situation and nobody--not even one!--had heard anything about it. Why is the mainstream media ignoring it? Why does most of America seem unconcerned?

I consistently thank God for all the brave and committed Korean missionaries around the globe. I've seen their hard work and passion all over East Africa, and I know that these deaths are only going to spark even more passion and zeal from our Korean brothers and sisters in the future.

Let us pray for the missionaries still kept hostage, that God will deliver them from evil and bring them back home to their family and friends. Let us pray for comfort and peace for the families of Shim Sung Min and Pastor Bae Hyeong-gyu as their deaths are mourned.J.E.
