I think the most powerful argument comes from what lead me to do this in the first place.

Though I've wanted to do this all my life, this project all started with a little thing in another video game called "olivine," a peculiar green rock.

He then called me to go to a conference being held at a local church by Reasons to Believe with Dr. Hugh Ross and began an investigation into cosmology, which I then began to unify with geophysics and geology.

I've had many influences from Larry Niven to James Cameron, Isaac Newton to C.S. Lewis. My head is packed with so much that I simply 'gotta express it somehow.

I've always been a fan of video games and thought my dream job was at Electronic Arts, but when I saw many of the games endorsed by EA I then felt as though I was missing something. So I set aside the video game developer thing for years until this recent "awakening."

I currently don't know how to reconcile the gospel of Christ with video game development. The video game immerses a person in a virtual world full of ideas, knowledge, art, music, and sounds with the freedom to interact in any way s/he chooses. But does this innately oppose Christ?

My hope is that my game will be an expression of the great awesomeness of General Revelation and its Revealer. That it will be a complex set of algorithms, tensors, vector and scalar fields that echo the voice of God.

I've started to believe that Jesus really does hold atoms together.

Would appreciate some thoughts. And if anyone has some reading material to suggest, I would love to know.

ThanksKnurdhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05570170609420849934noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-14410967.post-30908494934967349212007-06-24T11:30:00.000-06:002007-06-24T11:30:00.000-06:00coming from Singapore, I was introduced to Schaeff...coming from Singapore, I was introduced to Schaeffer's thoughts during my university days which allowed me to make sense of many of the ideas that were discussed in classes (coming from a journalism background).

Another theologian, pastor who has also greatly influenced my thinking over here is the Indonesian-Chinese preacher, Reverend Dr Stephen Tong. It left a deep impact on my life and I would now like to share it with others. Unfortunately I have lost it and am wondering if anyone can help me locate it?Mmmarxhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01185961685347966516noreply@blogger.com
